For the past few weeks I’ve been reviewing a lot of my options and considering the bigger picture on my art/storyteller career. After debating and speaking with a variety of close friends and professionals, I’ve finally been able to reach a decision about my future goals. It has been a difficult decision and with many of the recent events that have occurred in my life,( which I won’t divulge on the Internet), that I have concluded that I will be focusing all my attention and work flow into my space opera story that has been a life’s long dream of mine.

What this means is that I will be spending a majority of my free time when not at work developing and doing all the concept art/story arcs for my space opera story, instead of posting just pieces here and there. It’s a daunting task, as I have over thirty aliens to design and redesign, countless of terms to explain, timelines to complete, environments to draw, the main cast and elements to do, etc…etc…etc..; giving me about a year’s worth of work ahead, and little time for anything else. (This is partly due to the fact as with my past works that my regular full time crappy job takes up way too much of my time). I’ve managed to get about thirty percent of it done so far, but I have a long way to go. Although it is my belief that once it is completed that many doors will open up for myself and those creators that I closely work with.

This however doesn’t mean that I will abandon my obligations to my requesters or any other work that has been asked of me before this decision. In fact I have begun to rework and color many of my requests projects after the mess of events of last month, and coming to the conclusion that my recent artistic coloring skill levels will have to be sufficient. I have been greatly upset with being so behind and angered at events that were out of my control but still make me feel as if I come across as some nonprofessional or lazy ass.

This does mean however that I will not be posting new work regularly until I decide what I am comfortable allowing the public to see, and what I am willing to have the chance to be stolen; as I have had many bad experiences over the years and as of recent with people stealing my work. So it will appear on my DA profile as I am not doing anything at all, but I assure you that this is not the case.

In the coming weeks I plan on posting the finish versions of my requests, though I dare not set a date as to when this will be, as I don’t want to make the same mistake as last time, and give the impression that I’m all talk and no show. I will also be checking in from time to time on my watcher’s works, and do my best to keep up with everything that they are doing. In addition to my space opera work I will be posting some other art pieces from some of my other stories as time goes by, along with some other pieces I have done recently that I haven’t able to post up due to lack of funds to have them scanned, and replying to any messages that I may receive here on DA…

Well that about wraps it up for now, I hope that all of you are doing well in your life, and your own personal endeavors, and remember… NEVER stop chasing your dreams….
